Differences between the two films

In Roxanne, the men are firefighters but in Cyrano de Bergerac, they are in the army. In Cyrano de Bergerac, they fought with swords for a long time, but in Roxanne they fought only a little. In Cyrano de Bergerac, he is a friendly cousin with the girl, but in Roxanne they have no relationships, only friends. In Cyrano de Bergerac, the girl and the man had a secret marriage, but in Roxanne, they didn't. And also in Roxanne, the man left with the woman's friend. But in Cyrano de Bergerac, the man died in the war. And  in the Cyrano de Bergerac, the woman found out the man who wrote her those letters was Cyrano de Bergerac by him telling her. But in Roxanne, she found out herself. And the last one is, in the Cyrano de Bergerac it has a tragic ending because the woman found out at the last minute, and both of the guys died. But in Roxanne, it has a happy ending that the man and the woman later were together.

Favorite Legend Quickwrite

My favorite legend is Medusa's head. I don't know a lot of legends and this one I always remember. It is about a monster that has two sisters. She once were a really beautiful lady, but then she was cursed by the god because she lied to them. So whoever saw her face will immediately turn into a stone. However, the hero Perseus was sent to kill the monster and get the monster's head. He got help from a god and got some weapons. So he went to kill Medusa. He used  a mirror to see where is she, and them he killed her. I like the legend because the hero didn't use force or physical strength to kill the monster, he used his intelligence.

I believe that a hero is someone who help people because he or she wants to. He or she is also really nice and can overcome big obstacles. Most of them are always alone since other people will be inconvenient. Spider man, super man, Robert Park, the guy who went into North Korea to film videos, and also some other people are all heros. Traits that heros should have is patient, nice, confident and intelligent. And these traits are universal, not limited.

The difference between the movie and story - Animal Farm

In the story, Mr. Jones is not as scary as in the movie. I think maybe because they want the kids to feel that he is the bad man, so they sort of exaggerated it. And also in the book they describe more characters, while in the movie they focus more on the main characters. In the movie they can act many scenes at the same time, but in the story they can't. And also in the movie, because they already show the image, so it doesn't have to describe a lot of things such as the appearance and stuff. And also I think the movie rushes too much while the story is longer. The story doesn't have so much talk between the animals. While the movie have more and less narrating.

Beware of the Dog p. 687

Yes, once i met someone, and she wasn't smiling at all and I thought she will be a mean and not nice girl. But it turns out that she is very nice, and we became friends. When people don't smile, they can be misled that they are not really that nice. Or on the other hand he or she can fake smile to let people think they are nice and it turns out they are mean. When you know this person more you will find out that he or she may not be the person you thought he or she was.

Bullying Quick write

People bully in school and on streets or anywhere, this is a really common thing. But for may many years, people, well maybe adults, are trying really hard to stop people from bullying. People bully people that are too weak or different from others, such as the nerds in schools are often the type that bullies like to pick on. They also like to bully people that are a little different from the others. But I believe that each person has his or her own personality, own looks, everyone is different. Bullies like to bully people so they can show power to the other people that are watching. They want to bully people so other people will be scared of them. They think bullying people makes themselves cool. But the truth is, they do not, they just make people stupid. Also sometimes, bullies bully people to get something they want, such as friends, money or food. Boys bully people mostly from fighting or laughing at someone. But girls bully people by stabbing his or her back. They often talk behind people's back. I have been bullied when I was in fifth grade and also the start of eight grade. In fifth grade, my best friend turn out to be a bully and talk behind my back. And soon everyone started to hate me, and that is when she abandoned me and left me fighting alone. In the start of eight grade, again, one of my best friends started to talk behind my backs. And one thing that she did was she told everyone what I did, although I didn't do it. For example, she will tell one of my friends that I am talking behind that friend's back, but the truth is, I didn't, and the bully did. I hate bullying, and that is why I want to stop them.

- 921, the biggest earthquake strikes Taiwan, it is important to me because I was only three years old, and it was the day when I move into our new house.
