Quick write-Symbolism in Stories I've Read

I think the story, Poison, has a symbol. The poison in the doesn't only means the snake's poison. But also the words that Harry yelled to Ganderbai, the doctor, when they found out that there weren't a snake. The words re also poison because those words made the doctor not comfortable and hurt in his heart just like the poison from a snake can harm people. I think hat the poison is a symbol because I think the title, Poison, can't be that simple. And also I think the main idea of this story is about how mean Harry can be although the doctor tried to save his life. And also talking about racism.
